Season's Greetings from the Angels

Happy holidays! For this special message I asked for a little help from above, and picked the three cards you see featured here from the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards Deck by Kyle Gray. I think these are a perfect reminder for all of us heading into what can be a wild and crazy time of year, to embrace the love and magic of the season.

First, with all of the holiday hustle and bustle, we are reminded to focus on Balance. Although this is the time of year we tend to focus on giving, when we give too much of ourselves we can find ourselves physically run-down and out of balance energetically. It can also be a stressful time of year with holiday parties, the pressure to buy gifts for the masses, and missing family and friends who have passed. We are asked to take care of ourselves in addition to helping others. Give yourself permission to take time to rest and rejuvenate. Some of my favorites for recharging and enjoying the season include meditating, going for walks, spending time with friends, and watching holiday movies.

The next card is Unconditional Love. A clear reminder to keep our thoughts on the meaning of the season, sharing love and kindness with others. Also, a reminder, that love, not the presents, are what this season is all about. Small gestures can go a long way, letting friends and family know you care. This can also be a time when we need to honor our own feelings and set healthy boundaries with family and friends who may drain our energy, or perhaps leave us feeling like we've been visited by the Grinch who Stole Christmas. If saying "No" isn't easy for you, it's fine to ask the Angels to help you gently, but firmly, express your needs and set healthy boundaries. Loving yourself is important, too.

And finally, we are reminded that the Angels and God constantly surround us with waves of Peace & Harmony. No matter what is going on around us, we always have the opportunity to connect to the peace within through meditation. If you are missing a loved one this holiday season you might try playing a game I'm calling Advent Signs from Heaven. Every day, as you count down the days until Christmas, you can ask your loved ones in heaven to send you a sign of their presence in your life. Once you've asked your loved ones to send you signs, get ready for the fun to begin. The signs they send can be ones you ask for but also unexpected, such as finding a feather on your pillow, seeing their birthday on the license plate in front of you, or even seeing their name on a name tag worn by a holiday greeter at the mall. Count the many ways your loved ones are saying hello and take a few minutes every day to sit with them in silent prayer and meditation, listening to their words of reassurance and encouragement while feeling their love.
